Local One's Family Legacies

The Villamagna family won the family legacy contest held recently in the inRegister newsletter. As part of the contest we received several entries from members that trace Local One's family history through multiple generations. One such letter is from brother Don Leidig.

Labor Day Facts and History

On Sept. 5, 1882, Peter J. McGuire, a Carpenters and Joiners Union secretary, organized a parade of about 10,000 workers who marched from City Hall to Union Square in New York City.

The Bergen County Central Labor Council announces  two scholarships for 2011. The Ed Purtill Community Service Scholarship and the Abe Solomon Scholarship will award $1000.00 each.

HCCLC scholarship available!

The Hudson County Central Labor Council announces the 2011 Edward B. Pulver Scholarship.  This is a wonderful opportunity for our members and their families. Thirteen scholarships ranging from $500.00 to $1000.00 will be awarded.
